Harmonic.ai alternatives for startup funding data
This page is the independent comparison of Harmonic against other funding data providers: 21 measured endpoints, the same company cohort, every stage judged against source-verified funding events. No vendor pays for inclusion or rank.
Harmonic is measured from a supplied export, identity-audited against the frozen cohort and judged under the same policy as every provider. Its stage score is comparable; export pricing and API latency are not inferred.
Harmonic appears on both boards. Its export was mapped into the earlier freshness snapshot as well as the historical cohort, so its stage accuracy can be read on recent rounds and on older ones. What it never carries is a latency or cost figure, because a supplied file has no request time and no billed unit.
The 16 measured providers are Apollo, CompanyEnrich, Crunchbase, Crustdata, Exa, Explorium, Fiber, Firecrawl, Fundable, Harmonic, Ocean.io, Parallel, People Data Labs, PredictLeads, Seltz, and ZoomInfo. Several are measured on more than one endpoint, for 21 arms in total.
How the alternatives handle new rounds.
The rolling board, rebuilt each month from rounds announced inside the window. Harmonic is scored here from the snapshot its export covered. This is the rolling freshness board, pooled across every dated snapshot, so each row carries the number of companies that provider was measured on. The company funding benchmark has other vendors that were benchmarked on the same input data. The methodology covers cohort design, Ground Truth and the judging rules.

How the alternatives actually scored.
Rounds already settled when each provider ran, which is where a curated database is strongest. Harmonic has no self-serve endpoint, so its row carries no latency or cost. The rest of the roster publishes both an endpoint and a rate. This is the funding enrichment board, scored on rounds that were already more than 30 days old when each provider ran. The company funding benchmark also carries the rolling freshness board. The methodology covers cohort design, Ground Truth and the judging rules.

Harmonic, PitchBook & Tracxn access terms
Crunchbase's and Harmonic's export results are scored above. PitchBook and Tracxn serve private-market investor research, including PE workflows, rather than self-serve GTM sales enrichment. Sourced, dated, and nothing more claimed.
| Name | The verifiable fact | Source |
|---|---|---|
| PitchBook | Private-market intelligence for investor workflows, including PE research, funds, LPs, and deal analysis. Its API is a separate contracted Direct Data offering sold under an enterprise agreement, so it falls outside the self-serve GTM enrichment shape tested here. | their own page (2026-07-17) |
| Harmonic | Offers an API (REST/GraphQL) but publishes no self-serve per-unit pricing. The pricing page routes every plan, including API access, to a demo/sales conversation. | their own page (2026-07-17) |
Common questions about moving off Harmonic
Why does Harmonic need an alternative for programmatic funding data?
Because it was measured from a supplied export rather than an endpoint. If you want to enrich a company from your own code, you need something you can call, and the table above lists the providers on the same benchmark that offer one.
Is Harmonic's export result comparable to an API result?
On the latest funding stage, yes. The export was identity-audited against the same companies and judged under the same policy. Latency and cost are left blank rather than inferred, because a supplied file has neither a request time nor a billed unit.
Should I trust a published Harmonic competitors list?
Only if it says what was measured and on which companies. Most such lists rank vendors by who wrote the page. Everything here is scored on one fixed cohort of companies whose funding events were verified from company announcements, investor releases and filings before any vendor was called.
What would change if Harmonic exposed a self-serve endpoint?
It would pick up latency and cost figures, which are blank today on both boards. Its stage accuracy is already scored on recent rounds, because the export was mapped onto a freshness snapshot. What an export cannot give is a query moment: how quickly a provider learned about a round can only be measured by calling it at a known time after the announcement.
